Resource Usage Policies

The Resource Usage Policy outlined below constitutes a legal agreement between you, the customer (“Customer”), and us, the supplier (“Supplier”), which refers to comcities.com (PLATINUM ONLINE PVT LTD). This agreement explains our obligations to you and your obligations to us regarding Resource Usage. Agreeing to the Supplier’s Resource Usage Policy is mandatory when signing up for an account or using our services. Please ensure that you read this document in its entirety.

What is Resource Usage Policy

This Resource Usage Policy defines the resource limits associated with our plans and outlines the types of content prohibited on our servers. Our goal is to provide exceptional performance for all client accounts. Therefore, this policy aims to prevent practices that could degrade service quality for others. Most accounts will never reach the limits we set, but those that do may negatively impact the service experienced by other clients on the server.

Reviewing the parameters and limits of our cPanel Hosting packages is essential. These parameters typically include storage space, bandwidth, CPU, RAM, and additional features directly influencing your service’s performance and scalability. Your account may not suit your current plan if you consistently exceed these resource limits.

cPanel Shared Hosting

We utilize the CloudLinux operating system, which implements resource limits through an LVE system. The kernel-level technology integrated into the server guarantees that all hosted websites receive fair access to their allocated resources.

General - cPanel Hosting

If you have recently encountered issues such as a 503 error or unusually slow website performance, it’s essential to determine whether these problems are due to reaching resource limits. This can help you identify when your site’s demands exceed the available resources, indicating that action needs to be taken. The cPanel dashboard displays whether your site has reached its resource limits. If these issues persist, you should contact your web developer for assistance.

Mail Service Usage
  • Attachments larger than 25MB in size should not be sent by email.
  • Outbound emails should not be sent to more than 20 recipients at any time.
  • Mailing lists, Email Marketing, NewsLatter, or Bulk mail are not allowed; they may use a third-party SMTP gateway or email marketing platform.
  • POP connections are limited to 60 per hour.
  • The maximum limit for deferred emails is five (5) per hour. If your account reaches this limit, additional messages will not be sent until the limit resets one hour after reaching it.
  • Simultaneous IMAP/POP3 connections are limited to use up to 10 connections at any given time.
  • Exceeding the monthly MailChannel quotas will permanently route emails through the server’s IP address and restrict MailChannel access.
MySQL and other database engines’ policy
  • Database access should only be used for the website hosted by the Local Server. Remote database access is not allowed.
  • Databases within an account must be in active use by that account and may not be used for historical archiving purposes.
  • Databases may not be shared between accounts.
  • Individual databases may be no larger than 1GB
  • All users are restricted to 25 concurrent MySQL connections.
  • Database queries should not exceed 3,000 per hour.
  • Database changes (insert/update/delete) should not exceed 1,000 queries per hour.
  • The database can not generate more than 1% of slow queries daily.
PHP limits

Below is a table of our current default resource limitations for PHP.

Configuration setting for 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 ea-phpDefault
memory_limit512 MB
post_max_size128 MB
upload_max_filesize128 MB
max_execution_time90
max_input_time/s120
Cron Jobs
  •  A cron job should not execute more frequently than once every 15 minutes on a shared hosting service. If set for a shorter time, our system will automatically reset it to 15 minutes without prior notice.
Processes

Processes invoked by the web server, cron, shell, or any other method should not exceed the following limitations:

    • Create core dumps.
    • Execute a script/binary that forks in a way that creates a fork bomb.
    • Programs may not run in the background or listen on a network port.
Files and Directories
  • The total number of inodes in an account may not exceed 250,000. Every file (an HTML, PHP, text, image, email, PHP file, directory, etc.) on your account uses one (1) inode.
  • Your hosting account is not intended for use as backup space, file storage, or cold storage.
  • A directory can not contain more than 4000 immediate child files. This includes the sub-directories themselves but does not include the files contained within those directories.
  • We allow a maximum of 1 GB for a single file stored within the account. Hosting, accessing, reading, or writing files larger than 1 GB is prohibited.

Failure to fully comply with these terms is grounds for account suspension and/or termination.
We reserve the right to remove any account without prior notice.
