- JetBackup: $8.95 a month, plus $0.025 per GB of cloud backup space for one copy. Each server gets 2× its disk.
- Optional backup upgrades, each plus our 30% fee: a second cloud copy at $0.05 per GB for both copies ($0.025 more than one copy), or Vultr File System instead of the cloud copy, at $0.10 per GB. Vultr File System is fast NVMe storage on the server, for quicker restores.
- MailChannels outgoing: $20.00 for each 10,000 emails a month. Need more? Add 10,000 for $26.00 a month.
- Optional MailChannels incoming virus and spam filtering: $5.00 per domain a month.
- Licence prices follow the suppliers' list prices. If a supplier changes its price, the line changes with it.

Under the hood
cPanel cloud servers explained: what each part does
Each line in the costs above is there for a reason. Here is what it does for your websites.
- Vultr cloud VM
- The server itself: vCPUs, memory and SSD disk reserved for you, in a Vultr data centre, with automatic snapshots of the whole machine.
- cPanel & WHM
- WHM manages the server and creates cPanel accounts. Each cPanel account runs its own websites, email and databases. The licence tier sets how many accounts the server can have.
- LiteSpeed Web Server
- Answers more visitors with less memory than Apache, and caches WordPress pages on the server with the free LiteSpeed Cache plugin.
- Imunify360
- A firewall, web application firewall and malware scanner that blocks attacks and cleans infected files automatically.
- JetBackup
- Backs up each cPanel account on its own, so one file, database or mailbox can be restored from cPanel without touching the rest.
- MailChannels
- Checks outgoing email before it leaves, which keeps the server off blocklists so your messages reach the inbox. Optional inbound filtering, per domain, removes spam and viruses from incoming mail.

Submit a ticketWhat is a cPanel cloud server?
A cPanel cloud server is a virtual server of your own, with cPanel and WHM installed, that you don't share with other customers. Its CPU, memory and disk are reserved for your websites, and we run it for you: the operating system, the licences, security, backups and email filtering.
Why do you show what each server costs you?
So you can see exactly what you pay for. Each server is a Vultr cloud VM plus the licences it needs to run cPanel hosting properly. We list each cost at the supplier's price, then add one 30% fee for setting up, managing and supporting the server. There are no hidden extras.
Which plan do I need?
Mostly it depends on how many cPanel accounts you will run. The Cloud 8 GB and Cloud 12 GB plans run up to 5 accounts, which suits a few busy websites. The Cloud 12 GB plan gives them more memory. The Cloud 16 GB plan runs up to 30, and the Cloud 24 GB plan up to 100. Not sure? Tell us about your sites in a ticket and we will recommend one.
Why can I only use 75% of the disk?
The rest is kept free for the operating system, logs and the temporary files a backup run creates. A full disk stops websites, email and backups at once, so we never let a server fill up. The usable space is shown on every plan.
How are backups handled?
In two ways. Vultr takes automatic snapshots of the whole server, so it can be restored in one step after a disaster. JetBackup also backs up every cPanel account separately, with 2× the server's disk in cloud backup space, so you or your clients can restore a single file, database or mailbox from cPanel. A second cloud copy, or faster Vultr File System storage, can be added.
What if I send more email than my plan includes?
Every server includes MailChannels for outgoing email, from 10,000 emails a month on the Cloud 8 GB plan to 40,000 on the Cloud 24 GB plan. If you need more, add 10,000 emails at a time for $26.00 a month.
Is incoming email filtered for spam and viruses?
It can be, per domain. MailChannels inbound filtering checks every incoming message and removes spam and viruses before they reach your inboxes. It is an optional add-on at $5.00 per domain a month, so you only pay for the domains that receive email.
Do I get root access?
Yes. You get WHM and root access to your own server. We still manage it, so check with us before changing the system, the web server or the security settings.
Will you move my websites for free?
Yes. Our team moves websites, databases and email from your current host at no charge, including whole cPanel servers.
Where are the servers?
In Vultr data centres across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Tell us which region is closest to your visitors when you order.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. You can move to a larger plan at any time. The price changes to the larger plan's from then on. A server can't be moved to a smaller plan, because a cloud server's disk can only grow. Outgrown the largest plan? A cPanel dedicated server gives you a whole physical machine.
Do I need a cloud server, or is shared hosting enough?
Choose a cloud server when your sites need resources no one else touches, or root access. For one website, cPanel web hosting costs far less. To sell hosting to clients without running a server, see cPanel reseller hosting.
